The comic book movie craze has gone on for so many years that quite a few actors have been featured in both DC and Marvel films. For example, Ben Affleck starred in 2003’s Daredevil over ten years before his debut as the Caped Crusader in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. One year later, Michael Keaton, who famously starred as the titular hero in 1989’s Batman, portrayed the Vulture in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first Spider-Man solo adventure Spider-Man: Homecoming. That’s just to name a few and now, thanks to an incredible piece of fan art, DC and Marvel fans can see what Avengers: Age of Ultron star Aaron Taylor-Johnson could look like as a live-action version of the DC character Nightwing.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson played the character Quicksilver alongside his Godzilla co-star Elizabeth Olsen in 2015’s Avenges: Age of Ultron, though his character did not survive until the end of the movie. Nightwing is one of the most iconic DC side characters and he has yet to be portrayed in any live-action film yet. barrett.digital recently took to Instagram to post an art piece featuring Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Nightwing, which fans can check out in the post below.
Now that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is no longer part of the Avengers franchise, he has the perfect opportunity to become the new Nightwing. There’s been no confirmation that the character will appear in Matt Reeves’ upcoming Batman movie but a Nightwing film from The LEGO Batman Movie director Chris McKay has been in the works for quite a while with no major announcements regarding the project having been made recently, though it has yet to be officially canceled.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding the Marvel and DC universes as soon as more information becomes available.
