Game developers Crystal Dynamics is scheduled to appear at a special panel hosted by Google next week at it’s GDC event. The new Avengers project was teased back in January 2017 and it could very well be possible that this project will be on full display there, though no official announcement regarding the project’s presence has been made just yet. The announcement of Crystal Dynamics’ arrival came from the Google Developers Twitter account. Check out the full announcement in the post below.
Anticipation for a new Avengers video game reflects that of the anticipation levels for any of Marvel Studios’ feature films. Although, fans might remember that early MCU films including Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America: The First Avenger had video game adaptations that sparked less-than-stellar reviews.
The very last update fans got regarding the Crystal Dynamics Avengers was back in December 2018 when creative director and writer for the untitled Avengers project Shaun Escayg took to Twitter to share the following statement with his fans ensuring that the studio is “hard at work” on the new game.
An argument for the timing being right can certainly be made now that fans have just received a hot new trailer and poster for Avengers: Endgame and a teaser from an upcoming game at the Google event could just be the icing on the cake.
