After the climactic battle of Avengers: Endgame, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Valkyrie returned to New Asgard to plan out their futures for themselves and their people. There, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor officially named Valkyrie his successor as King of the Asgardians before boarding the Benatar to hitch a ride with a Guardians of the Galaxy.
While the theatrical version of the Avengers: Endgame scene concluded with Rocket Raccoon informing Chris Hemsworth’s Thor that it was time to leave, a deleted moment reveals the sequence originally concluded with thew God of Thunder trying to kiss Valkyrie. However, Valkyrie lets Chris Hemsworth’s Thor down easy, explaining that he clearly misread the situation, before they both share a laugh.
