The battle of Wakanda in Infinity War nearly concluded with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor delivering a fatal blow to Thanos using the newly formed Stormbreaker. However, because the God of Thunder stabbed Thanos in the chest as opposed to the head, the Mad Titan was able to use the stones to heal himself and decimate half of the population in the universe. Endgame co-writer Stephen McFeely noted Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is “not blaming anybody but himself” and that he “does have a lot of guilt” when the fourth Avengers film begins. As for the tone of the first act, McFeely added:
“I don’t want to say it’s a laugh riot. It comes from a darker place.”
