New ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Theory Suggests Thor Will Travel To Alfheim

A new Avengers: Endgame theory suggests Thor will venture to Alfheim in the Marvel Studios film.

In the comics, Alfheim is one of the Ten Realms of Asgardian cosmology and it is inhabited by the Light Elves, though fans have yet to see this world in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, a new fan theory by Reddit user mushbert suggests that the time for Alfheim to be explored has come now that Thor is the official “King of Asgard and Ruler of The Nine Realms.” The theory proposes that Thor could travel to the realm in hopes of assembling an army to defeat Thanos and outlines the following reasons why this is the perfect time for that scenario to play out:

• Thanos Is Traceable – The Avengers know where exactly in the universe he is at an exact moment in time.

• Thanos At His Most Vulnerable – The Avengers know exactly what resources Thanos has, what they are facing, and that they can handle it. In a deal with Loki, Thanos has also willingly given up the only Infinity Stone in his possession, Loki is given The Sceptre (The Mind Stone) to help obtain The Tesseract (The Space Stone) for Thanos, making Thanos perhaps the most vulnerable he has been in decades.

• Not Too Far Back in Time – The less far back in time the Avengers travel the better, as it means less unwanted changes to their timeline further down the line that they might not foresee. Some unwanted changes are unavoidable when it comes to time travelling within your own timeline. However, this would not be the case if the Avengers were to travel backwards in time to alternate parallel universes simultaneously.
