‘Avengers: Endgame’ Director Thinks Fantastic Four Deserve A ‘Definitive Movie’

Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo think that the Fantastic Four deserve a “definitive movie” with the gold standard Marvel Studios treatment.

The road to success and fame is not always smooth sailing. No one knows this better than Marvel’s first family the Fantastic Four who’s last film outing in 2015 was so maligned that director Josh Trank has yet to make peace with it and takes shots at the studio film any chance he gets. Joe and Anthony Russo, who recently directed Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame, strongly believe that the Fantastic Four deserve another chance at making cinematic history.

This is what Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo had to say about the Fantastic Four getting their own movie in a recent interview with Business Insider.

“Fantastic Four needs a definitive movie at some point.”

Although the Avengers: Endgame directors are excited about the Fantastic Four getting their own movie, they also revealed that they don’t know what Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige’s plans for the team are. This is what Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo also had to say about the Fantastic Four’s secretive arrival.

“We don’t know what Kevin’s plans are. He’s been very specific about just ending the Infinity Saga.”

Although the directing duo doesn’t have plans to direct a Fantastic Four movie, Joe Russo discussed who some of his favorite characters from the comics are.

“I mean, I love Ben Grimm from the Fantastic Four. Doctor Doom was always one of my favorite villains.”

What do you think about the Russo Brothers’ comments about the Fantastic Four deserving their own film? Would you be all in if anyone other than the Russo Brothers directed it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!

Avengers: Endgame serves as both a follow up to Avengers: Infinity War as well as the conclusion to the 22 films that came before Marvel officially ends Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Spider-Man: Far From Home in July.

Here is a plot synopsis for Avengers: Endgame:

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.
