Avengers: Infinity War took the world by storm when it hit theaters last summer, delivering a very emotional climax that resulted in many of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s heroes biting the dust, so to speak. This year’s Avengers: Endgame sets the surviving heroes on a path to undo Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) nefarious plan. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo recently screened some Avengers: Endgame footage for lucky attendees and thanks to Gamespot, fans can learn some of the intriguing new details that were revealed in the footage.
The first trailer for Avengers: Endgame began with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), aka Iron Man, recording a very emotional message to Pepper Potts (Gwenyth Paltrow). According to the report, the new footage revealed that this is when fans learn exactly how long it’s been since the events of Infinity War. In this scene, Tony reveals that it’s been twenty-two days since Thanos’ victory seen in Infinity War.
The most recent addition to the MCU, Captain Marvel, is still in theaters and will soon be followed up by one of the most anticipated films of the year, Avengers: Endgame. The follow up to last year’s Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters at the end of April. Avengers: Endgame won’t be the final chapter of the MCU to release this year though, that honor goes to Spider-Man: Far From Home. Tom Holland’s Peter Parker returns in theaters this July to conclude this current phase of MCU films.
