The first trailer for Endgame revealed Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark will begin the film adrift in space following his unsuccessful efforts to defeat Thanos. Low on food, water, and oxygen, Tony Stark attempts to a record a farewell message to Pepper Pots using the Iron Man helmet. However, one fan noted that Tony Stark built a filtration system in his armor in Iron Man 2 and that the nanotech suit must not have this feature if he is running low on water.
It’s worth noting that it’s possible the filtration system isn’t working properly after all the damaged the suit sustained in the battle on Titan and, eventually, even water wouldn’t be enough to keep him alive.
