Robert Downey Jr. has shared a behind-the-scenes look at Tony Stark’s “I am Iron Man” moment from Avengers: Endgame.
Now that Avengers: Endgame has been playing in theaters for nearly two weeks, Robert Downey Jr. has taken to Instagram to offer fans a behind-the-scenes look at one of film’s most epic scenes. The actor’s new Instagram post features photos of himself filming the “I am Iron Man” scene from the film’s incredible final battle with Thanos and his army.
The moment seen in Robert Downey Jr.’s Instagram post occurs towards the end of Endgame‘s big battle. In it, Thanos believes that he has acquired all the Infinity Stones and says, “I am inevitable.” However, Thanos quickly realizes that Tony has stolen the stones from him. Using a makeshift gauntlet built into his nanotech suit, Tony snaps his fingers and erases the Mad Titan and his forces. Before doing so, Tony proclaims “I am Iron Man.” Unfortunately, the surge of energy from the Infinity Stones proves to be too powerful for Tony and he dies on the battlefield, surrounded by loved ones.
