‘Avengers: Endgame’ Director Confirms Loki May Still Be Alive

Record-breaking movie directors The Russo Brothers recently sat down with the Los Angeles Times to talk about Avengers: Endgame and confirmed that Tom Hiddleston’s Loki may still be alive and possibly in another universe.

Avengers: Endgame has officially crossed the $2 billion dollar mark in only its second weekend in theaters after opening to a record-breaking $1.2 billion at the box office. The Russo Brothers, Joe and Anthony Russo have received much of the praise for their work on the film by perfectly balancing a plethora of characters and wrapping up an 11-year journey stretched over 22 films.

One of those characters was the Asgardian God of mischief Loki played by Tom Hiddleston who fans saw meet his end in last year’s Avengers: Infinity War at the hands of the mad Titan Thanos played by Josh Brolin. During their interview with the Los Angeles Times, Anthony Russo said there’s still another chance that we could see Loki return to the MCU again after witnessing him escape the grasp of the Avengers at the end of the battle of New York revisited:

“Loki could absolutely still be alive in an alternate timeline.”

This is absolutely possible now that we’ve seen Chris Evans’ Captain America go back in time to live out his life in an alternate timeline after he missed out the first time by going in the ice. We do know that Tom Hiddleston’s Loki is set to have a spin-off series on Disney’s new streaming service Disney+.

What do you think about Anthony Russo’s comments about Tom Hiddleston’s Loki possibly still being alive after the events of Avengers: Endgame? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!

Avengers: Endgame serves as both a follow up to Avengers: Infinity War as well as the conclusion to the 22 films that came before Marvel officially ends Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Spider-Man: Far From Home in July.

Here is the plot synopsis for Avengers: Endgame:

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers:Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo,  Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.

Avengers: Endgame is now playing. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we learn it.
