Avengers: Endgame arrives in theaters next month, with fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Spider-Man: Far From Home arriving shortly after in July. After those two conquer the box office, a new age begins in the MCU. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has remained tight-lipped regarding many of the specific story directions that the MCU will go in after these next two films but one thing is for sure and it’s that the X-Men are finally joining the MCU.
Given the history of mutants in Marvel comics, many fans have spent months speculating how mutants could naturally be introduced in the MCU without having been even mentioned over course of the last eleven years. A new theory via Reddit from username “k0binator” presents a way for Avengers: Endgame to easily spark the origin of the mutants thanks to a scene from last year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. Fans who can’t wait months for another MCU adventure are in luck. From now until the highly-anticipated team-up movie hits the big screen, fans can see a very different kind of MCU movie in Captain Marvel. The 1995-set origin movie introduces fans to Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, who will be featured in Avengers: Endgame, as teased by the film’s latest trailer.
