The conclusion to the Infinity Saga in Avengers: Endgame left fans with the beautiful shot of Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers finally getting his rain check dance with Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter after he returned the borrowed Infinity Stones to their place in the timeline and stuck around to live a normal life.
Some fans left Avengers: Endgame questioning what Steve’s decision to stay in the past would mean to Peggy’s original husband and father of her two children. Endgame writer Stephen McFeely told The Hollywood Reporter that Steve Rogers going back and fathering those two kids was always part of the plan.
“It was always our intention that he was the father of those two children. But again, there are time travel loopholes for that.”
What do you think about McFeely’s comments on Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers being the father? Did you see Steve Rogers staying in the past at the end of Avengers: Endgame coming? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
Avengers: Endgame concludes what Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige dubbed as ‘The Infinity Saga’ or what we’ve seen as Thanos’ secret quest for the powerful Infinity Stones. This Saga heavily featured characters like Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America and Avengers: Endgame wraps up the stories which started with Iron Man way back in 2008. Next Marvel will officially end Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Spider-Man: Far From Home in July.
