If these set photos are any indication, then Iron Man, aka Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), is somehow able to escape his unfortunate situation shown in the Avengers: Endgame trailer.
Between the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, Tony Stark has been through some rough stuff. During the finale of Infinity War, Tony had to watch a number of the Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes die in front of him after they fail to stop Thanos (Josh Brolin). One of these fallen heroes was the closest thing that Tony has ever had to a son, Peter Parker (Tom Holland), aka Spider-Man.
The trailer for Avengers: Endgame shows that Tony has escaped Titan with Nebula (Karen Gillen) in the Milano. Unfortunately, Tony tells Pepper Potts (Gwenyth Paltrow) in a seemingly final message that resources are almost all but gone, with the ship’s oxygen expected to fully deplete by the morning. It isn’t clear if Nebula is still with him at this point but it’s safe to say he seems to be in the loneliest situation he’s ever been in. A new theory on Reddit from user sirvante70 possibly reveals that Tony does, in fact, make it back home. Check out the photo in the post below.
These set photos hit the internet earlier this year and show Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Tony Stark seemingly going back to 2012, during the New York attacks, to get help from a younger version of Captain America (Chris Evans). It’s possible that Tony is also from a different timeline but his hairdo kind of gives it away. The length is longer than what we see him with during Infinity War, with a much blonder look to it, but it could’ve grown that much during Tony’s time in space.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Avengers: Endgame as soon as more information becomes available. Do you think that’s the current-timeline version of Tony? What do you think those sling ring-like devices are on their hands? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

While Tony Stark may be lost in space with no chance of being rescued, it appears he will be accompanied by Nebula, the only other survivor of the showdown on Titan. How the two characters are getting along in what could be their final days remains unknown, though Nebula appears to be faring better than her new companion.
During the first post-credits scene for Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scott Lang found himself trapped inside the Quantum Realm after his friends were erased by the Thanos snap and some speculated that the Avengers would have to rescue him. However, it appears Scott Lang managed to escape the realm on his own and brought the van containing the way to the alternate dimension with him.
During the final moments of the new trailer, Captain America and Black Widow view a video of Scott Lang asking to be let inside Avengers headquarters. Captain America wonders if the message is old, meaning that some time may have passed since Thanos' decimation and Scott's escape from the Quantum Realm.
During the trailer, Bruce Banner can be seen assessing a list of victims of Thanos' decimation and it appears the team knows Spider-Man is among the missing. This may come as a surprise to some considering Spider-Man was with Tony Stark during the events of Infinity War.
After returning in Avengers: Infinity War with a full beard and disheveled costume, Captain America will return to a more familiar look that includes the suit from The Winter Soldier.
After Thanos acquired all six Infinity Stones and used them to accomplish his mission, the gauntlet he used to harness their power was severely damaged. However, it appears the Mad Titan continues to wear the worn gauntlet, perhaps in an effort to ensure no one else can wield the power of the stones and undo his actions.
