Avengers: Endgame will conclude the 22-film arc that all started with Iron Man back in 2008. The MCU will then embark on a new era with Spider-Man: Homecoming. Marvel Studios’ Phase 4 slate has been kept under wraps because of Avengers: Endgame, but many projects are already known. Marvel Studios has also already started to diversify with Black Panther and Captain Marvel. Avengers: Endgame producer Trinh Tran told ScreenRant that trend will continue:
“…I think after you watch Avengers: Endgame, you’ll know sort of. You’ll get a sense of where that ends in a way, and what opportunities we have down the line. All I can say is we have a ton of characters we haven’t explored, and I’d love to do them all. Especially given that with Captain Marvel’s success and the diversity that she brings with the female representation, and with Black Panther and that diversity, it would be great to get more of that out there. Because we have a lot of diverse characters in Marvel.”
We already know Marvel Studios is developing Black Widow, Shang-Chi, and The Eternals, which will star an openly-gay character. Marvel Studios is also developing a ton of projects for Disney+, where even more diversity will be present. What character do you hope Marvel Studios brings to life in the near future? Feel free to share in the comments!
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.
Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26, 2019.
