‘Avengers: Endgame’ Fan Gets Epic Revenge On Troll Who Spoiled ‘Infinity War’ One Year Later

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for Avengers: Endgame, so if you haven’t seen it stop reading this at once!

After seeing Avengers: Endgame on opening night, one Marvel fan managed to get revenge on a troll who spoiled the events of Avengers: Infinity War for him in the most epic way.

Since the hype for Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame was at an all-time high, we were poised to find stories like the following. Reddit user Jus10Sch effectively befriended a stranger who spoiled Avengers: Infinity War in order to spoil Avengers: Endgame for him one year later. Yeah, you read that right: the guy waited for a year, pretending to be friends with this troll to enact his revenge:

“So about a year ago, I made a post on Instagram about how excited I was to see Infinity War, and I foolishly used the hashtag “Thanosdemandsyoursilence” As you may know, you can look up hashtags on Instagram and browse through posts using that hashtag. After I made the post, a random guy (who I assume was browsing the hashtag to find people who used it) randomly targeted me, and commented on my post a full list of everyone who died. I hadn’t seen the movie by then, and I did get it spoiled.”

After being targeted by this stranger, the Marvel fan decided to befriend him, joking about the fact that he had already seen Avengers: Infinity War. This was all an elaborate ruse to get his confidence:

“I messaged the guy and told him that I had already seen the movie, but that was a good prank,” the Avengers fan wrote. “It was then that we became ‘friends,’ So for about 7 months, me and him messaged each other, texted memes, talked about movies, and stuff like that. (Keep in mind the friendship was fake, I was just trying to get his trust and make him comfortable with me.)”

He waited for an entire year until Avengers: Endgame came out. Fortunately for him, he managed to see Avengers: Endgame on opening night, and as fate would have it, the troll who spoiled Infinity War did not. The Marvel fan ended up taking a bunch of pictures of the film and sent them to this stranger alongside messages revealing major plot spoilers:

“In one glorious action, I sent all the pictures as fast as I could, messaging plot points along with the pictures. It was all over in like 30 seconds, but he definitely saw it all. He cursed me out, saying I was a horrible person and stuff. “

Avengers: Endgame concludes what Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige dubbed as ‘The Infinity Saga’ or what we’ve seen as Thanos’ secret quest for the powerful Infinity Stones. This Saga heavily featured characters like Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America and Avengers: Endgame wraps up the stories which started with Iron Manway back in 2008.

Here is the official synopsis for Avengers: Endgame:

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.

Avengers: Endgame is now playing everywhere.
