Fans are understandably still upset with the death of Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr. helped establish the Marvel Cinematic Universe when Iron Man came out in 2008. Since then, Marvel has created the biggest cinematic universe ever. The universe is so connected that even small things can reappear from movie to movie. Avengers: Endgame has been out for months, but people are still spotting those small details.
One Twitter user spotted an impressive detail: when Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man puts the Iron Man Infinity Gauntlet together, the scene is almost a shot-for-shot remake of Howard Stark working in Captain America: The First Avenger. Have a look below.
Like father, like son. The two scenes are nearly identical with one another, with Iron Man saying “boom” at the end instead of an actual explosion happening. The father and son duo got to spend a lot of time together in the movie when Iron Man travels through time.
Robert Downey Jr. will star in several upcoming movies. He will be in The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle in early 2020 alongside Tom Holland. The actor will also have a role in the upcoming sports comedy film All-Star Weekend. In addition to those films, Robert Downey Jr. is set to reprise his role as Sherlock Holmes in the third Sherlock Holmes movie, which has been slated for a December 2021 release.
