Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye being left out of the marketing campaign for Avengers: Infinity War had fans rallying for even a brief glimpse at the hero in the film. After seeing the film, fans now know that Jeremy Renner’s character was nowhere to be seen. Instead, he will make his return in next year’s Avengers: Endgame but not as Hawkeye. Instead, Renner’s Marvel hero will be adopting his Ronin persona from the comics, which fans saw a quick glimpse of in the film’s first trailer.
A new concept design has appeared on Reddit from V2V Designs. The impressive art features Ronin ready for war against Thanos (Josh Brolin) or whichever other enemies will attempt to battle Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Avengers: Endgame. Fans may have missed the character in Infinity War but the iconic Marvel archer will be back in full force for the film’s follow-up. Avengers: Endgame will mark the first appearance of Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton since 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, in which he aided in Scarlet Witch’s (Elizabeth Olsen) escape from the Avengers compound after her lethal accident in the opening of the film.
