Recently, Joe and Anthony Russo sat down with Collider and spoke more about Avengers: Endgame and the toy leak images that feature our beloved heroes. While speaking about the film, the directors did not seem to be worried with the toy images that have leaked. The directors went more into the images by explaining how most of the time they are not accurate. Here’s what Joe Russo had to say on the matter:
“What’s interesting about toy leaks is that 99 percent of the time they’re not accurate because toys are, frankly, tailored to either old concepts or completely different concepts than what’s in the movie.”
It seems that the directors are not worried at all about the toy releases, but they did praise the visual effects team for helping contain spoilers. Trailers for Marvel projects have scenes play in a different way than they actually take place in the films by not having surprise characters or details present. This way of keeping spoilers from being released has been seen in previous Marvel films like Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. Here’s what Joe Russo added onto the story about leaks:
“Frankly, the very essential nature of the storytelling is contained within the brains and computers of all the great individuals working in all the effects houses on the movie, that is with much more sensitive material, and the testament to that industry is there’s a code of ethics there, and a lot of sensitive information — at least on the four movies we’ve worked on has passed through all these companies, and nothing has ever leaked.’
With fans only getting glimpses of what could be a 3-hour-long movie there might not be much that could be predicted until the film’s release. Fans can rest assured that the cast and crew of the film are working hard to keeping spoilers away from audiences.
