Marvel Studios‘ Avengers: Endgame opened with most of the surviving Infinity War heroes venturing to a distant planet to find Thanos and use the Infinity Stones to reverse the Mad Titan’s decimation. Upon their arrival, Thanos immediately revealed he reduced to stones to the atomic level, leading our heroes and audiences to believe they were permanently destroyed. However, Anthony and Joe Russo revealed this was not the case:
“Thanos only reduced the stones to the atomic level. The stones are still present in the universe.”
