Avengers: Endgame is coming and fans cannot help but try to speculate as to who exactly the Avengers will be facing off against in the film. There have been theories of time travel and a younger Thanos that try to uncover who the big bad will be in the end. Now, there is a theory that suggests we may have been looking at the clues the wrong way. Reddit user Coolest_Breezy has recently shared how The Living Tribunal may be the villain in Avengers: Endgame. You can view the theory below:
The Reddit user mentions how Kevin Feige said that they took inspiration from the Star Trek: The Next Generation series finale episode “All Good Things.” What many fans have gotten from this episode is the aspect of time travel, but what Coolest_Breezy suggests is that there is a cosmic entity that will come to bring balance to the reality the Avengers inhabit. The theory suggests that The Living Tribunal may not have liked what Thanos did to the universe and may want the Avengers to prove this reality is worth saving.
Much like the character Q on Star Trek revealed what is needed for humanity to survive, The Living Tribunal could be asking the same from the Avengers. The Avengers may need to convince Thanos that the snap was not a good idea and take the Infinity Gauntlet from him. Then they must prove why the universe is worth saving and perhaps heroes from different galaxies and worlds could help by proving how the entire reality is worth keeping.
