Marvel surprised fans with a brand new trailer for Avengers: Endgame earlier this week, giving us a whole new look at Earth’s mightiest heroes reeling in the aftermath of Infinity War. While plot details still remain under wraps, the Avengers are expected to team up with Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel and utilize the Quantum Realm in their efforts to undo the decimation from Thanos’ snap and bring back half of the universe’s population which was turned to dust by the Mad Titan.
Although the latest trailer did its best to keep from giving away too much from the film, it appears to have hidden two major plot details in plain sight. The first of which being that Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, can be seen still wearing an ankle monitor, revealing his character is still under house arrest due to the events of Captain America: Civil War when we pick up with him in the film. This was ultimately the reason for his absence during Infinity War.
The second plot detail noticed by fans includes Jeremy Renner’s character as well. The hero can be seen on board a craft with Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow in the trailer, which has been revealed to not be the Avengers’ Quinjet, but instead The Benatar, the spaceship belonging to the Guardians of the Galaxy which Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark and Karen Gillan’s Nebula can be seen stranded on in the previous trailer.
Avengers: Endgame will serve as both a follow up to Avengers: Infinity War as well as the conclusion to the 22 films that came before it before Marvel kicks off Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Spider-Man: Far From Home in July.
Here is the plot synopsis for Avengers: Endgame:
