Marvel Artist Reveals Beautiful ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Art Book Slipcase Cover

Marvel artist Ryan Meinerding has revealed his slipcase cover design for an upcoming book that will celebrate the art of Avengers: Infinity War.

Avengers: Infinity War was filled to the brim with incredible designs for costumes, creatures, weapons, alien planets and alien ships, so it only makes sense that an art book is on the way to celebrate the work that went into bringing the designs to the big screen. Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War – The Art of the Movie is a collection of the artwork from the film’s production and while the images inside remain a mystery, artist Ryan Meinerding has given fans a glimpse at the slipcase cover art for the book.

Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War – The Art of the Movie is set to hit shelves on November 6th but fans can pre-order the book online right now. Meinerding took to Twitter to reveal the slipcase art, which depicts the battle on the planet Titan between Thanos (Josh Brolin) and the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and Nebula (Karen Gillan). Check out the incredible art below.

There is one more interesting thing about the cover art and that’s the absence of both Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), who were both present during the battle on Titan. The back cover slipcase art, as well as the artwork beneath the slipcase, have yet to be revealed so it’s entirely possible that the two heroes are somewhere on the book. It’s also possible that during this particular stage of Avengers: Infinity War production those two characters weren’t supposed to be there, but fans will have to wait until November to get the book themselves and find out.

What are your thoughts on the slipcase cover art? Which sequence, character, or prop design are you most looking forward to seeing when the book hits shelves next month? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
