‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Concept Art Showcases Shirtless Thanos

You may look at Avengers: Infinity War and think that Thanos’ apparent greatest accomplishment would be gathering the Infinity Stones and snapping half of humanity out of existence. And you’d be wrong. Is it that he bested Earth’s Mightiest Heroes? That he’s apparently pulling double duty as Cable over in the X-Men film series? No. Rather, it’s how good the Mad Titan looks when he’s not wearing his shirt. Not that anyone is walking up to Thanos as he sunbathes and takes in some rays, but it would be an interesting prospect nonetheless.

With that odd preamble out of the way, let’s get to the subject of today’s story. A book detailing character profiles from Avengers: Infinity War has a profile, naturally, on Thanos. The description details the decisions made for his design at the conceptual stage, as well as how Thanos’ look needed to reflect an actual science-fiction design that looks advanced in construction. Given how bulked Thanos looks compared to his adversaries in Infinity War, it’s a given that he no doubt looks “advanced” in every way possible. Here, have a look.

Given that the Titan achieved his goal of snapping half of humanity into dust by the end of Infinity War, chances are that the odds of half of his potential audience coming to admire him in his shirtless glory have greatly decreased. And again, given how strong and bulky Thanos is here, the amount of waiting before he came to achieve his conquest in Avengers: Infinity War paid off. And unlike Frieza, even though Thanos has great strength, it very much paid off to do some actual training. How often does someone try to crowbar Dragon Ball into a talk about Thanos?

But what do you think of the art of the shirtless Mad Titan? Have you gotten your hands on this concept art book? If so, what are your thoughts on it? Let us know in the comments below.

Avengers: Infinity War is available now on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
