The details for the Blu-Ray of Avengers: Infinity War have surfaced, revealing that the film will have a number of deleted scenes and special features.
Per Twitter user Anton Volkov from Trailer-Track, details for Infinity War’s home release have surfaced, and they contain over 45 minutes of extras, with items such as a gag reel and featurettes on scenes like the battle in Wakanda, but only about six minutes worth of deleted scenes. These deleted scenes will be comprised of three moments: ‘Happy Has a Perspective,’ ‘Hunt for the Mind Stone,’ and ‘The Guardians Find Their Groove,’ based on Voklov’s translation. You can check out the features in the tweet below.
This would put a dampen on those expecting a longer look at Thanos’ backstory or some longer, sweeping epic, given that this is the culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first decade, but it’s important to look at this in perspective. None of the previous Marvel Studios films have had extended or a director’s cut. Even films rumored to have one, such as Avengers: Age of Ultron, didn’t have anything beyond deleted scenes. There’s no reason the Russo Brothers would suddenly change course with Infinity War.
That being said, are you looking forward to the home release of Avengers: Infinity War? Were you hoping there would be more to the special features and deleted scenes? Let us know in the comments below.
