‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Features Major Callback To Benedict Cumberbatch’s ‘Doctor Strange’

An Avengers: Infinity War fan spotted a nod to Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange during the battle on Titan.

Towards the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange joined Iron Man, Spider-Man, and the Guardians of the Galaxy in a battle against Thanos on the planet Titan. Throughout the showdown, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange used spells that proved to be critical in helping the Avengers: Infinity War heroes subdue the Mad Titan.

Star-Lord, for example, was able to plant an explosive device on Thanos’ back by running on platforms created by Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange. As one Reddit user noted, this was was a strategic technique Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange learned from Mordo during his time as a pupil in the future Sorcerer Supreme’s first standalone film.
