'Avengers: Infinity War' directors Anthony and Joe Russo shared some small details on filming at Durham Cathedral and the location's role in the film.
Avengers: Infinity War will unite several heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the ultimate battle against the Mad Titan Thanos. Though there is a significant level of secrecy surrounding the film, it was recently confirmed that production would be heading to England’s Durham Cathedral. While details on what role the location will play in the film are currently unknown, fans are already speculating on how the location will be used in the next Avengers adventure. Now, directors Anthony and Joe Russo offered a few small tidbits on the cathedral’s purpose in the film in an interview with Sunderland Echo.
Sunderland Echo reports that Russo brothers revealed that the location will be used in several scenes, but explained that the site will be not be used as a cathedral in the film.
