Avengers: Endgame could possibly be the final time fans see Robert Downey Jr. suit up as Iron Man. Over the years, Tony Stark has gone through a wide range of suits in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the latest being the “Bleeding Edge” armor featured in Avengers: Infinity War. That armor appears to have been destroyed at the end of Infinity War with Tony once again donning new armor, as he does with every new addition to the franchise. A recent LEGO set revealed Tony’s Mark 85 suit will feature a classic Iron Man design. A Marvel Studios subreddit member decided to compare the Infinity War and Endgame armors, which fans can see below:
Although Tony Stark’s death hasn’t been confirmed in Avengers: Endgame, many fans fear that the actor’s 11-year run as Iron Man could be coming to an end, as well as Chris Evans’ run as Steve Rogers, aka Captain America. Fans will have to wait until the Avengers: Infinity War follow-up hits theaters this April to see what will happen to the iconic heroes of the MCU but so far, everyone seems to be preparing for the worst case scenario.
