In the first Avengers film, Alan Silvestri played an ominous piece of music during the scene in which Loki discusses the power of the Tesseract with Nick Fury while being held captive on the Helicarrier. The composer later used the same music cue during the Avengers: Infinity War scene where Thanos, in search of the Tesseract, confronts Loki after boarding the Asgardian refugee ship.

While Loki was killed by Thanos after the Mad Titan acquired the Tesseract, the God of Mischief is set to return in a standalone series reportedly centered on the character’s adventures throughout history.
After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store.
