The nominations for the 91st annual Academy Awards were unveiled this morning, with Infinity War scoring a nom for Achievement in Visual Effects. The film is up against Christopher Robin, First Man, Ready Player One and Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Meanwhile, Black Panther made history today by becoming the first comic book adaptation to ever earn a Best Picture nomination at the Academy Awards. The Ryan Coogler-directed flick is also up for Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, Best Original Song, Best Original Score, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing.
Infinity War is available on Digital HD, as well as DVD, Blu-Ray and Ultra HD 4K. Iron Man, Captain America and the rest of the remaining members of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are set to return in Avengers: Endgame, which opens in theaters this April. Here’s the synopsis for the movie:
