When asked if the footage spoiled Thor: Ragnarok, Waititi replied, “No, actually. No.” Of course, the simplest explanation is that the destructive event that sends Thor traveling through space occurs in Avengers: Infinity War instead of Ragnarok, though fans will have to wait until the God of Thunder’s third standalone film arrives in theaters this fall to find out.
In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok“, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladictorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!
Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins. The film will be released in theaters on November 3, 2017.
