While fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision on Disney Plus, Avengers star Jeremy Renner is already gearing up to start work on his Hawkeye series. Although the full plot of Hawkeye isn’t currently clear, it will see Clint Barton train Kate Bishop to replace him. Although Hailee Steinfeld was originally eyed to play Kate Bishop, the actress isn’t sure she’ll be joining the Hawkeye series. It seems like the show will take cues from the fan-favorite comic run by Matt Fraction and David Aja.
Hopefully, fans won’t have too long to wait to learn more about the Avengers star’s next outing as the archer since Jeremy Renner recently revealed on his Instagram story that he’s starting to train for the role. The star posted a photo of the Hawkeye series logo, with a caption saying he should start stretching. Take a look at the photo from the Avengers star’s Instagram below.

Hawkwye is expected to return on the small screen with a Disney Plus series. Full details on Hawkeye are currently under wraps, though the Disney Plus series will follow Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton as he prepares to pass the mantle to Kate Bishop. In the comics, Kate Bishop is the third character and first woman to assume the Hawkeye name.
Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye is just one of the many projects Marvel Studios is developing for Disney Plus. These projects include The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, What If…?, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk.
Hawkeye is currently scheduled to premiere on Disney Plus in Fall 2021.
