Earlier this week, official promo art was revealed via Orville Redenbacher giving fans a look at Chris Evans’ Captain America in his chainmail armor, as well as Robert Downey Jr. in his classic comic-accurate Iron Man suit. But eagle-eyed fans noticed something familiar in the image: a watch like-device that was spotted during filming for the project in set photos that many felt were revealing an older Tony Stark having traveled back to the Battle of New York from the first Avengers film along with Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man.
In the post below you can see the same device on Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow that was seen strapped to the hands of both Robert Downey Jr. and Paul Rudd in set photos.
So what do you think? Will Earth’s Mightiest Heroes travel to the past to reverse the events of Avengers: Infinity War this April? Let us know in the comments below!
Plot details are still under wraps but it’s possible the Avengers will utilize the Quantum Realm and maybe even time travel in their efforts to undo Thanos’ snap which gave way to the decimation of half of the Universe after the heroes failed to stop the Mad Titan from collecting all six Infinity Stones in Avengers: Infinity War. The highly-anticipated Avengers: Infinity War follow-up will conclude the previous 22 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe before Marvel kicks off Phase 4 with Spider-Man: Far From Home in July.
Here is the plot synopsis for Avengers: Endgame:
A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.
