Ross Marquand joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Infinity War as Red Skull after Hugo Weaving’s departure from the role. Ross Marquand surprised many fans in Avengers: Infinity War after appearing as Red Skull, who became the keeper of the Soul Stone.
The last time Red Skull was seen before his cameo in Avengers: Infinity War was during the events of Captain America: The First Avenger, in which he was decimated after coming in contact with the Space Stone. Ross Marquand was recently asked by DubaiLAD whether or not Red Skull survived Thanos’ infamous snap, but it seems he may know as much as fans do. You can view Ross Marquand’s full response below.
“That’s a great question, I have no idea. I don’t know, to be perfectly honest I have no idea, because that was a question that I had as well. But Marvel is very tight-lipped about it, they don’t really reveal a lot of those secrets, so your guess is as good as mine. I have no idea. He might be in the Soul Stone with everybody else, you never know.”
Ross Marquand does not know for sure, but he believes Red Skull could be in the Soul Stone along with other victims. Thanos came into the MCU with full force during the events of Avengers: Infinity War after gathering all infinity stones, helping him complete his goal.
Thanos snapped the lives of many away to bring balance to the universe after viewing overpopulation as a problem, believing things should always be in balance. Even though Thanos may have been successful, that did not stop our beloved heroes from coming together again to bring one last fight to the Mad Titan in Avengers: Endgame.
