Joe Russo Confirms ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Features Stan Lee’s Last Cameo

During a recent press event in India, co-director Joe Russo revealed Avengers: Endgame will feature Stan Lee’s last cameo.

Stan Lee sadly passed away back in November at the age of 95. However, the Marvel legend did film a few cameos before his death. Captain Marvel featured an opening dedicated to Stan Lee and he appeared in the film reading Kevin Smith’s Mallrats script. Stan Lee has been appearing in Marvel films since 2000’s X-Men. Unfortunately, the tradition is coming to an end and co-director Joe Russo confirmed at an Avengers: Endgame press event in India the upcoming film will be Stan Lee’s final cameo and not the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel:

“I believe that his final cameo is in Endgame. I don’t remember if he was well enough to do the cameo in Homecoming or not.”

Some speculated Spider-Man: Far From Home would feature Stan Lee’s final cameo, but it seems only fitting that his final cameo will be in the culmination of the MCU’s Infinity Saga. You can check out the full video below where Joe Russo talks about his experience with Stan Lee:
