Earlier this week, Avengers star Jeremy Renner filled papers asking for the child support payments for his seven-year-old daughter Ava to be reduced due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Many productions have shutdown because of the pandemic and Jeremy Renner stated that there might not be much work for him in the coming months, reducing his income.
However, Jeremy Renner reportedly earned $20 million for his role in the Marvel Studios epic Avengers: Endgame, adding to his reported net worth of $50 million. Jeremy Renner’s ex-wife Sonni Pacheco has now spoken out against the Avengers star over the reduction of child support payments in an interview with Daily Mail. Here’s what she had to say on the matter:
“It is very disheartening that in a time of global crisis there is yet another attempt to reduce funds I rely on to provide for our child. I think it’s time after seven years of hell, I start addressing the lies myself. First, I do not receive $30,000 in monthly child support. Second, all of my savings and Ava’s savings have been drained due to lawyer fees, as my concerns for Ava’s safety have been an ongoing battle for years now. I have, and will always choose to protect Ava when I find out about disturbing behavior exhibited by her father at his homes that put her in danger. Last but not least, I am choosing love and to continue to wish him the best and a healthy safe life.”
During last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that Jeremy Renner is set to reprise his role as Clint Barton for a Disney Plus series that will introduce audiences to Kate Bishop. The series is expected to begin shooting later this year, though its start date could be pushed back due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Jeremy Renner was last seen on the big screen in Avengers: Endgame. Here is the official synopsis for the Marvel Studios epic:
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow and Josh Brolin.
