‘Avengers: Endgame’ Theory Suggests Loki Is Controlling Thanos

Loki’s death at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War was a traumatic experience. Just one of the many moments of pure sorrow sprinkled throughout the film and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

However, fans know that this isn’t the first time the prince of mischief has faked his own demise only to be revealed later pulling the strings behind the scenes.

With actor Tom Hiddleston likely to reprise his role in the upcoming Avengers: Endgame film, one theory suggests that it could be Loki manipulating the Mad Titan Thanos himself.

The theory explains that there is a possibility that Thanos was in control of Loki after the events of Thor when he fell into an abyss and crossed paths with the Titan. He was given a scepter with the mind stone with the purpose of controlling Thanos’ army and retrieving the tesseract from earth. A plan that Loki could have gotten away with if it wasn’t for those pesky Avengers.

Ever since the half Asgardian has been on a slow path to redemption or so we think. What if when Loki gives up the tesseract in Infinity War to Thanos he’s actually manipulating the stone so that he could control his mind, just as Thanos has seemed to have done in The Avengers.

That brings up the possibility that the neck snap we heard and the lifeless body we saw was actually a fake out and Loki is somewhere in the cosmos continuing his reign of tyranny.
