HBO Max Orders ‘Batman: Caped Crusader’, ‘Superman’ Animated Series

The Dark Knight and the Man of Steel are getting new animated shows!

HBO Max has greenlit two animated shows, Batman: Caped Crusader and My Adventures With Superman.

It’s fair to say that Batman: The Animated Series is one of the most definitive versions of the Dark Knight’s adventures in any medium, and now one of the show’s most influential producers, Bruce Timm, is returning with a brand new Batman animated series for HBO Max titled Caped Crusader. The streaming service also gave out a two-season order for My Adventures With Superman, following Clark Kent, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen in their early days at the Daily Planet.

But not only is Bruce Timm returning as executive producer on Batman: Caped Crusader, but he’ll be joined by Matt Reeves and J.J. Abrams. As per TheWrap, the show will use “state-of-the-art animation techniques and reinvent Batman and his iconic rogue’s gallery with sophisticated storytelling, nuanced characters and intense action sequences all set in a visually striking world.” While My Adventures of Superman will feature the voice talents of The Boys star Jack Quaid as the new version of Clark Kent and Alice Lee as Lois Lane for HBO Max and Cartoon Network.

What do you want to see from Batman: Caped Crusader and My Adventures with Superman? Are you impressed by the talent working on the shows? Sound-off in the comments below!

The plot of The Batman is being kept under wraps, but we know the film will follow Robert Pattinson as a younger version of Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his second year as the Dark Knight of Gotham City. The film will also show off the hero using his skills as a detective more than what we’ve seen before in previous versions of the hero. It is also expected to be the first installment in a new trilogy of films with Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on March 4, 2022. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Batman: Caped Crusader and My Adventures With Superman, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content.
