The new comic finds the Caped Crusader teaming up with John Constantine to investigate the unexplained death of The Joker, leading to a period where the Dark Knight struggles with memory loss and a dark force within his mind. Upon returning to the Batcave, Bruce Wayne removes his suit to allow the Batcomputer to scan his body for injuries and that’s where fans are given a glimpse of the billionaire playboy’s penis. It also showed that Bruce Wayne is circumcised.
DC Comics has since announced that new editions of the comic will censor out Bruce Wayne’s penis, but following this recent controversy, the genital rights organization known as the Genital Autonomy of America was upset about the image. Marilyn Milos of the organization expressed why they are upset over the image:
“Non-therapeutic amputation of the normal body part of a non-consenting minor is not only sexual child abuse and a violation of that child’s inherent right to bodily integrity and genital autonomy… They, like Batman, have goodness and right on their side, and my hope is that others who have experienced the unkindest cut also will stand up and protect the most vulnerable among us. It’s their body, it’s their right!”
When asked about what she would say to Batman about the situation, Milos responded as follows:
“I’d tell Batman about foreskin restoration to regain some of what was lost,” including, “protection, sensitivity, and the gliding mechanism that makes masturbation, foreplay, and intromission so pleasurable.”

Here is the synopsis for Batman: Damned:
DC BLACK LABEL, the highly anticipated new imprint from DC Comics, starts here!
The Joker is dead.
There is no doubt about that. But whether Batman finally snapped his scrawny neck or some other sinister force in Gotham City did the deed is still a mystery.
Problem is, Batman can’t remember…and the more he digs into this labyrinthian case, the more his mind starts to doubt everything he’s uncovering.
So who better to set him straight than…John Constantine? Problem with that is as much as John loves a good mystery, he loves messing with people’s heads even more. So with John’s “help,” the pair will delve into the sordid underbelly of Gotham as they race toward the mind-blowing truth of who murdered The Joker.
BATMAN: DAMNED is a bimonthly super-natural horror story told by two of comics’ greatest modern creators—a visceral thrill-ride that proudly puts the “black” in BLACK LABEL.
Batman: Damned #1 is now available in stores.
