‘Shazam!’ Star Jack Dylan Grazer Reveals He’d ‘Love To Play Batman’

Shazam! star Jack Dylan Grazer recently admitted that he’d like to play the role of Batman one day.

Jack Dylan Grazer plays Freddy Freeman in the DC Extended Universe film Shazam!, which is in theaters now. The fan-favorite character is obsessed with all of the heroes in the DCEU, including the iconic vigilante Batman. According to Jack Dylan Grazer, he’d like to step up and take on the role of Batman one day.

Jack Dylan Grazer was recently a guest on the Collider series Comic Book Shopping, in which various guests accompany host Coy Jandreau on a venture into a local comic book shop to look at the exciting stories that hide on the shelves. In the video, Jack Dylan Grazer opened up about his love of Batman. Not only does the Shazam! star love Batman, he’d love to play him one day. This is what Jack Dylan Grazer had to say about possibly becoming Batman.

“I mean, I would love to play Batman one of these days.”

When the topic of Jack Dylan Grazer possibly playing the role of Batman’s sidekick Robin came up, the actor jokingly shut down the casting.

“That’s degrading.”

After admitting that he’d play Nightwing, Jack Dylan Grazer fan-casted his own Nightwing if he were to get the Batman role.

“It would be Timothy Chalamet, and I play Batman.”

Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, and Djimon Hounsou.

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).

Shazam! is playing in theaters today!
