‘The Batman’: Jon Hamm Responds To Casting Rumors

During an appearance at New York Comic-Con in promotion for New Omens, actor Jon Hamm answered an inevitable question: would he like to play Batman?

When asked this question during the presentation, the audience got pretty excited, to which Hamm replied with the following:

“The first rule of playing Batman, is not to talk about playing Batman… but I will answer your question. Comics are hard but graphic novels are the hardest.”

As it stands now, Ben Affleck’s future as the Caped Crusader remains ever-so mysterious. Even though it has been well over a year and a half since he stepped down, it’s still fun imagining how cool it would’ve been if he was still directing The Batman.

Now, Matt Reeves is currently set to direct The Batman and is heavily rumored to eye a new actor in the role. Could it be Jon Hamm?

Jon Hamm has been a fan-favorite choice to potentially take on the role as Batman if Affleck were truly moving on from the cape and cowl. Many cite him as a great fit to play Bruce Wayne based off of his previous film and television credits. Hamm is certainly a remarkable performer, but as to whether or not he will be driving the Batmobile anytime soon, we just have to wait and see.

Would you like to see Jon Hamm play the Dark Knight? Sound off in the comments below, and be sure to continue following Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news in the DCEU.
