Jonah Hill No Longer In Talks For Matt Reeves’ The Batman

Jonah Hill has ended talks to join Matt Reeves and Warner Bros. The Batman.

Jonah Hill was previously in talks to play either The Penguin or The Riddler, but it appears the studio and the actor could not come to an agreement. According to Borys Kit, Jonah Hill has exited his talks to play the villain in the Matt Reeves film. While talks seem kaput for now, Jonah Hill and Matt Reeves could always come back to the table and renegotiate.

Jonah Hill was rumored to want a hefty $10 million dollar payout to be in the film. That would be more than half of what Robert Pattinson is making. I say that Matt Reeves and Warner Bro’s may have just dodged a bullet.

Details for the Matt Reeves helmed Batman project are being kept under lock and key. Previous rumors once pointed to an earlier version of the script featuring Ben Affleck bookending the film as his current Batman while the film introduced Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader in his earlier years. But with Ben Affleck officially retired from the role, Robert Pattinson is replacing the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League star as Batman.

We know that Matt Reeves’ The Batman will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that reportedly includes Catwoman and The Penguin. Reeves has also confirmed that it will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s acclaimed Year One comic and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC Films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new movie trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.
