Earlier this year, it was reported that Warner Bros. expects production on The Batman to begin by November 2019 and now a Twitter user Stu_FX, who works for the Academy Award-winning VFX studio MPC Film, claims that his childhood barber has been hired as the on-set hairdresser for the film. Considering pre-production work generally consists of assembling a crew, this claim suggests Matt Reeves’ The Batman is gearing up to begin this phase.
Plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film is said to center around a younger Caped Crusader and Matt Reeves has confirmed that it will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s Year One comic.
The Batman is one of many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC Films, including The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Birds of Prey, Black Adam, Suicide Squad 2, Nightwing, Supergirl, New Gods, a Deathstroke film, and a Joker origin movie set outside of the DCEU.
