Warner Bros. and DC’s upcoming film centered on the Caped Crusader has long been referred to as The Batman, but it appears writer and director Matt Reeves’ project may not have an official title as of now. According to a production list obtained by Daniel Richtman, who has been a reliable source of information in the past, the project is officially listed as the “Untitled Batman Project.”
Plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film is said to center around a younger Caped Crusader and Matt Reeves has confirmed that it will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s Year One comic.
The Batman is one of many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC Films, including The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Birds of Prey, Black Adam, Suicide Squad 2, Nightwing, Supergirl, Plastic Man, New Gods, a Deathstroke film, and a Joker origin movie set outside of the DCEU.
