Batman/Superman Writer Tom Taylor Teases Major DC Character Death

Batman/Superman writer Tom Taylor teased the death of DC villain Darkseid in a social media post.

After comic book writer Tom Taylor teased a new DC project on social media using the hashtag “DCEASED,” fans began speculating on which character could potentially meet their demise. Now, Taylor has shared a new post on his official Twitter account that includes a caption and photo with text reading “Darkseid was,” revealing the New God and ruler of Apokolips will be killed in an upcoming DC project. The phrase “Darkseid was” is an inversion of the villan’s classic mantra “Darkseid is,” which asserts the New God exists as the essence of evil personified.

Unfortunately, no official details on the project (including the plot, creative team, or release date) have been announced yet. However, a recent post on his Twitter account suggests the story will involve a climactic showdown between Superman and Darkseid.

In addition to his work on Injustice: Gods Among Us and Earth-Two, Tom Taylor is also known for writing Batman/Superman issues #28 – #30.
