Reddit user BrunoBots made the discovery, finding the copy of Alan Moore’s Watchmen hidden among the collection of books in Lois Lane and Clark Kent’s apartment as the intrepid reporter settled back in following her harrowing trip to Africa.
You can spot the copy of Watchmen on the shelf just under the light provided by the lamp.
Of course, the existence of Alan Moore’s graphic novel in the DCEU does not entirely preclude the Watchmen characters from appearing in the shared film universe. Superheroes existing in a world where comic books have chronicled their adventures is not an unusual concept, as seen in the recent trailer for Logan, where Wolverine can be seen flipping through the pages of a comic that inaccurately depicts his previous exploits.
Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Directed Zack Snyder, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons and Holly Hunter.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is now available on 3D Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray, DVD & Digital HD.
