Both Batman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond have had a profound impact on the Dark Knight’s history ever since they arrived around 20 years ago. Both of the DC animated shows were available on DC Universe, but they will now find themselves a new home as the streaming service becomes comics-exclusive on January 21st.
As a result, original DC Universe shows like Doom Patrol and Titans have already moved over to HBO Max and will continue to deliver future seasons on the streaming service. WarnerMedia has now announced that Batman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond will also find a place under HBO Max’s growing DC library starting January 1st. It’s expected that HBO Max will eventually become the home for all the DCAU series like Justice League. HBO Max is also set to feature new DC titles like Wonder Woman 1984, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, The Suicide Squad, Green Lantern, Peacemaker, and Matt Reeves’ untitled Gotham PD series.
