Batman: ‘The Punisher’ Star Ben Barnes Gets Imagined As The Dark Knight

With Matt Reeves looking for a new dark knight, The Punisher star Ben Barnes becomes Batman in new fan art.

Director Matt Reeves and Warner Bros. are currently looking for a new Batman to replace Ben Affleck for the upcoming DC film. Fancasts are now being shared across the internet as Reeves and the studio look for a younger actor to don the cape and cowl. One name that has been floated around is The Punisher‘s Ben Barnes. The Punisher star even shared a photo of himself as the caped crusader on Instagram. New fan art from the DC Cinematic subreddit offers another look at what Ben Barnes could look like as Batman:

Plot details are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger caped crusader and includes multiple villains. Matt Reeves also confirmed that it will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s Batman: Year One comic and will make full use of the dark knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous films.
