‘Batman v Superman’ Image Reveals New Look At Ben Affleck’s Armored Batsuit

Another behind the scenes photo from Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice has surfaced, giving us a better look at Ben Affleck’s Batman armored suit from the Zack Snyder film.

Yesterday we shared with you a behind the scenes photo in which we could see Ben Affleck trying out his armored Batman suit in a costume test. This armored suit was made famous by Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns, in which an older version of Batman faces off against Superman. In Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, the armored suit has the same purpose and it gave us one of the most spectacular fight scenes in recent Hollywood history.

Unfortunately for Ben Affleck fans, the actor has confirmed he will not be returning to reprise his role for the Matt Reeves-directed standalone Batman film. Plot details are under wraps, though the project has been rumored to be centered on a younger Caped Crusader. While Warner Bros. is set to restart the character’s story on the big screen, Matt Reeves has confirmed that his film will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s Year One comic.

The Batman is one of many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. The list also includes a Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, The Suicide Squad, Aquaman 2, The Trench, Black Adam, Supergirl, Plastic Man and New Gods.

Following Shazam!, which is now playing, the DCEU continues with Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) on February 7, 2020, and Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020. A standalone Joker film set outside of the DC Films universe starring Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime is also set to hit theaters October 4, 2019.

Directed Zack Snyder, the film stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons and Holly Hunter.
