There’s no stopping to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, as the movie has grabbed yet another box office record. The Zack Snyder-directed superhero movie brought in $15.05 million at the North American box office yesterday for the biggest Monday in March to date, topping The Hunger Games ($10.8M) and Furious 7 ($14.01M). As of right now, the movie has grossed $181.06 million domestically, meaning that its four-day gross falls just short of topping that of The Dark Knight‘s $182.9 million.
It’s clear that fans are enjoying the movie, otherwise we wouldn’t be seeing these kind of numbers. However, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is expected to suffer a 65% drop on its second weekend due to its negative critical response (currently 28 % on Rotten Tomatoes). Seeing as the movie has managed to exceed expectations so far, here’s hoping that the drop is going to be a lot lower than that. What do you guys think?
