‘Batman v Superman’: Comic-Accurate Doomsday Design Revealed

Concept artist Jerad S.Marantz has unveiled a photo of his first Doomsday sculpt for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman concluded with a chaotic showdown between the DC Trinity and the terrifying Doomsday. While some fans were thrilled to see the famous battle between Superman and Doomsday leap from the pages of the comics to the big screen, others were disappointed that the creature didn’t resemble its comic book counterpart closely enough. Now, concept artist Jerad S.Marantz has shared photos of his first Doomsday concept sculpt, revealing a more comic-accurate look for the creature that was ultimately altered for the final design.

Here is the official synopsis for Batman v Superman:

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
